    LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary Announces June Theme “Say it Like a Poet” and Open Call for Artists

    CLEVELAND, OH — June 2026 — LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary is inviting artists from Greater Cleveland and throughout Northeast Ohio to participate in its June gallery exhibition, “Say it Like a Poet.”

    This month’s theme explores the many ways artists communicate through words, emotion, storytelling, and creative expression. Artists are encouraged to submit work inspired by poetry, prose, lyrics, personal reflection, mental health, typography, spoken word, and visual storytelling.

    The exhibition welcomes a wide range of artistic interpretations, including traditional visual art, mixed media, photography, sculpture, and works that incorporate text or language directly into the artwork.

    Gallery Opening Event

    The exhibition will officially open during LemonChrystal’s monthly gallery opening celebration on:

    Visitors will experience a new collection of artwork inspired by the theme while connecting with local artists and fellow members of the creative community.

    The evening will also feature performances by the Active Minds, a Tri-C Poets Group, whose work helps promote mental health awareness through spoken word and creative expression. Additional live music and community activities are planned throughout the evening.

    Guests will also be invited to participate in LemonChrystal’s Community Art Wall and interactive poetry activities designed to encourage personal expression and community engagement.

    Fourth Floor Friday Closing Event

    The exhibition will conclude during LemonChrystal’s monthly Fourth Floor Friday celebration on:

    Fourth Floor Friday offers one final opportunity for visitors to experience the exhibition before the gallery transitions to its next monthly theme.     Fourth Floor Friday: DREAM Brings Local Art, Live Music, and Creative Community Activation to Cleveland’s Ingenuity Building

    LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary launches recurring Fourth Floor Friday arts initiative supporting underrepresented Ohio artists and musicians

    CLEVELAND, Ohio — May 2026 — LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary will present Fourth Floor Friday: DREAM on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 5PM to 9PM on the fourth floor of the Ingenuity Building, located at 5401 Hamilton Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114.

    This family-friendly immersive arts event combines local visual art, live music, collaborative creativity, and community engagement while helping activate Ingenuity CLE’s fourth floor incubator space as a growing creative hub for Northeast Ohio artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and community organizations.

    A suggested donation of $12 will be accepted at the door. All ages are welcome.

    This month’s exhibition aligns with Ingenuity’s broader “Dreamery” theme, inviting participating artists to interpret the concept of dreams through their own unique creative lens. Dreams can be vivid, mysterious, emotional, nostalgic, or hopeful, and the exhibition reflects those perspectives through original artwork, live performances, and interactive experiences.

    Featured visual artists include Chrystal Robinson, Lennon Strain, Suzy LeeLo, Zac Lee, and Juniper Mainelis. Live music performances throughout the evening will feature J.J. Vicars & Dr. Lisa and The Vacillating.

    Attendees can experience live painting sessions, a collaborative community art wall, dancing, snacks, original artwork available for purchase, and opportunities to connect directly with artists and creatives from across Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

    “The purpose of Fourth Floor Fridays is to bring people into Ingenuity CLE to experience art and music more often, provide opportunities to underrepresented artists from across Ohio, and increase foot traffic to the LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary gallery,” said curator Chrystal Robinson.

    LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary launched the Fourth Floor Fridays initiative and invited neighboring businesses within the Ingenuity building to participate through open studios, community engagement, and pop-up opportunities throughout the fourth-floor common areas. The goal is to create an active year-round creative destination during Ingenuity’s off-season while increasing awareness of both LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary and Ingenuity’s business incubator programs.

    LemonChrystal Artist Sanctuary is a for-profit arts organization focused on creating innovative opportunities for rural, emerging, and underrepresented artists and musicians. Recently relocated into the Fourth Floor Incubator at Ingenuity CLE, LemonChrystal operates an art supply store, boutique, gallery, and community arts space dedicated to expanding access to creative opportunities throughout Ohio.

    Fourth Floor Fridays are designed as recurring twice-monthly events held on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Events will feature rotating themed exhibitions, live music or DJs, live artwork demonstrations, workshops, and collaborative community experiences throughout the fourth floor.

    Upcoming exhibitions include June’s “Say It Like a Poet,” featuring artwork inspired by poetry, prose, lyrics, and spoken word alongside a poetry slam, open mic performances, live music, and collaboration with the Tri-C Poets Group, Active Minds, to help spread mental health awareness.

    July’s “Hip Hop Is History” exhibition will connect the evolution of hip hop culture with broader social and historical narratives in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. The event will feature a local hip hop showcase, fashion show, portrait timeline exhibition, panel discussions with historians and hip hop professionals, and a special guest headliner to be announced.
