LemonChrystal – Featured Artist

Lennon Strain has been creating artwork all of his life. Lennon attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Special Effects Industrial Design. He is a past three-time winner of Mount Union Art fest. His work has been exhibited across the country from California to Virginia and throughout Northeast Ohio, in galleries and museums over the past Twenty years. Lennon began painting at age 4, born to be an artist he was drawing by age 1 and hasn’t stopped since. Lennon is skilled in a variety of mediums, excelling in sculpture, acrylic painting and wood burning. He has done over 100 wood burnings, using both solder and sun burning techniques. While in California, Lennon started a new art form and renamed his work “THINKING”. In 2007, Lennon established his brand, Painting Turtle. His award-winning triptych “Eye Universe” showcases his impeccable attention to detail, innovation and symbolism. In May of 2024, he cofounded the artist Community, LemonChrystalArtist Sanctuary, with art partner Chrystal, that now houses his art supply store Painting Turtle.
